Pitcherplants in May - insect eating plants on display in Florida's forests

Welcome to the Paul Rebmann Nature Photography May/June 2016 Newsletter

This is my May/June newsletter, since my subjects were all photographed in May of some year and I'm sending it out in June.

The state and national forests are often some of the best places to find wildflowers of all types in all seasons, and pitcherplants are no exception. Florida hosts a number of the Sarracenia species, from the hooded pitcherplant of the peninsula to a variety of pitchers in the panhandle. Over the years I have photographed a number of these insect eating plants, it seems most often in May. Read more about the carnivorous pitcherplants in the latest blog post.
