Tates Hell State Forest
These dwarf cypress trees occur in a basin swamp in Tate's Hell State Forest in the Florida panhandle. They are pond cypress that grow small due to the particular habitat in this location. Dwarf cypress also can be found in south Florida in sloughs and marl prairies.
