Florida native


Terrestrial or semi-epiphytic on floating logs, tree bases or stumps in swamps and hammocks thoughout much of the Florida peninsula and west into the central panhandle. The range also includes the eastern coastal states north into Virginia, the Bahamas and West Indies.

Malaxis spicata is a member of the Orchidaceae - Orchid family.
