In Florida this low-growing plant is found mostly in wet places from the northern counties south through the central peninsula. Also ranges into Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.
Flowers are yellow and four-petaled.

 
Ludwigia arcuata is a member of the Onagraceae - Evening Primrose family.
