This burrow and tracks were seen in the dunes on Perdido Key. They could very well be from the Perdido Key beach mouse.
Peromyscus polionotus trissyllepsis is an endangered subspecies of the oldfield mouse. This subspecies is only found on Perdido Key, a barrier island that straddles the Florida-Alabama border near Pensacola.
